The Making Of The Potato Boats

So I finally made the paper boats that I wrote about here.

However, I didn’t follow the recipe I got exactly. For one, I don’t have an oven to bake the potatoes although they’d have turned out a little differently. Continue reading “The Making Of The Potato Boats”

A Photoshop Collage

I made this today is Photoshop. It’s the letter “T” and is a part of a collage that spells out “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”.

What do you think? Does it look nice?

My Last Semester

As the title says, today is the first day of my last semester at college.
My 3 year Undergraduate Degree will be over.

In just a few months,  I will graduate.
I will then be all grown up.
I will get a job and work.
I will start earning!
I will never do an Undergraduate degree again.
I will probably never eat from my college canteen again.
I will probably never see some of my classmates and college mates again. (Except maybe for reunions and the weddings of some of my classmates that are coming up soon.)
By the end of the semester I will have finished learning how to drive a car, getting my license and will have gotten a car too.

Lots of changes in the next few months…..

Diamond Bracelet – How To

Here’s my latest loom bracelet!

THE DIAMOND LOOM BRACELET

This video tutorial by SoCraftastic is amazing!

It’s pretty easy actually. It only took about half an hour to make it including the time it took to watch and pause the video at every stage.

I made this bracelet for a friend

By Hand

This is in response to today’s Daily Post’s Daily Prompt.

What’s the best present you’ve ever received that was handmade by the giver, not store-bought? Tell us what made it so special.

This is an interesting but hard question to answer….I don’t usually receive hand made gifts but I’ve gotten a few nice ones over the years. I’ve received

  • My grandmother made me knitted booties when I was a baby,
  • My friend made me a hand made card. She also made me these beautiful earrings some months back.
  • Her sister baked me a birthday cake for my 20th birthday 😀
  • My best friends made a collage and video of photos of us together
  • My mom and grandmother make all the food for my birthday parties every year 😀 cake, snacks, sandwiches, pizza…. I think the only things bought are the chips and juice.

I’m sure there are more locked up inside my brain but I can’t remember them too well….

Special-ness….I guess the obvious is that all these gifts have come from people who care about me and took the time to make them for me. I love, love, love them all (the people; not just the gifts)

😉

Goodnight.

Garibaldi biscuits

I just spent the last few hours (I’m not even going to count how many ….) making these biscuits. I’m tired.

But they are really tasty 😀 We have them just before meals when we’re really hungry but the food isn’t ready yet. …

I got the recipe from this site. It had a nice explanation. I doubled the quantity in the recipe.

My brother helped me and I think we did a pretty decent job 🙂
